End-of-Year Message from Principal Gonzales

Posted Date: 06/01/26 (10:26 AM)

Dear Alternative Education Families,

As we come to the end of the 2025–2026 school year, I want to take a moment to speak from the heart.
This was my first year serving Alternative Education, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this school community. This year gave me the chance to see the strength, determination, and potential of our students up close. I saw students keep going when things were difficult. I saw them make progress, earn credits, complete work, show growth, and take steps toward a better future.

That matters.

Alternative Education is about more than assignments, credits, attendance, and graduation requirements. It is about students who are still writing their story. It is about second chances, fresh starts, and the belief that every student can move forward when the right support, structure, and encouragement are in place.
To our students, I want you to know that I am proud of you. Some of you had to overcome obstacles that others may never fully understand. Some of you had to rebuild habits, catch up on credits, repair confidence, or simply decide to try again. Every step forward counts. Do not minimize your progress. You earned it.
To our parents and guardians, thank you. Your support, patience, phone calls, meetings, reminders, and encouragement made a difference. I know it is not always easy. But your involvement matters. When families and schools work together, students feel it. They may not always say it, but they know who is standing behind them.
To our teachers and staff, thank you for the heart you put into this work. Alternative Education requires patience, honesty, flexibility, structure, and a deep belief in students. You have supported students academically, emotionally, and personally. Your work helped students stay connected, complete credits, and keep moving toward graduation.

As we prepare for end-of-year activities and graduation, I hope we all take time to recognize what this moment represents. Graduation is not just a ceremony. It is a celebration of effort, persistence, family support, teacher guidance, and a student’s decision to keep going.
Thank you for allowing me to serve our Alternative Education students and families during the 2025–2026 school year. It has been an honor. I am proud of our students, proud of our staff, and grateful for the families who partnered with us along the way.
Let’s finish the year with pride, gratitude, and celebration.

Respectfully,
Mr. Gonzales
Principal
